Reserved Seating means: Reserved Seat at a table. Phoenix area naughty show, Romantasy Cabaret, makes its debut 2008 appearance at the SETS on July 26th. The doors open at 8:00pm and the show begins at 8:30. Directed by Lucy Morals of Diabolique Unconventional Entertainment and also of Romantasy Cabaret With a long silky gloved arm, Diabolique beckons to you from behind a heavy velvet drapery. This Phoenix area troupe, known for their hit production in 2007, Romantasy Cabaret, brings audiences another show season with Opulent Dreams, A journey into fantasy, opulence, and the antithesis of reality. Romantasy Cabaret is the brainchild of performer, Lucy Morals, a self described brassy broad with a mouth like a sailor and a bold persona on stage. The show boasts a cast and crew of about twenty performers, ranging from circus freaks who eat razor blades to bellydancers who "slither like a reptile", and from singers belting out hilarious lyrics to black light and sexy strobe light dances. Once again, this group of entertainers mix song, dance, comedy, and magical hijinx, with vaudeville, circus, and of course burlesque, to whet all appetites. This three-act extravaganza boasts a cast and crew of about twenty to thirty creative arty types from the Phoenix area, throughout the summer months in 2008 at The Sets. They present the greater Phoenix area with naughty, brash and off-color humor, along with their freakshow-to-amazing feats, acts and seductive burlesque entertainers. Each show's material varies and the performers rotate so as to always provide our regular attendees with a different and exciting show. Attendees could be treated to any combination of songs of hilarity by local funny-man & singer Tom Tuerff, or strange and grotesque acts by Mother Fakir, or even comedy. They might also be amazed by the feats of fire with Lotta Payne and Anya Knees and of course, dangerous acts of twirling and spinning weaponry with Motley Sue. Little Egypt might even appear dosing up the audience with her snake-like dancing and shimmying hips. Burlesque in our shows may be presented by local favorite, Lolita Haze, newcomer Dolly Diamonds, or by The High Pimpstress. If you are extra lucky, all three in the same show! Opulent Dreams serves up dancing dames, brought to you by Diabolique's crew of dancing chorus girls. Your hostess, Lucy Morals has a mouth like a sailor and is not for the faint of heart. Like any slick carny, she is there to shock and amaze, and to pimp and promote her crew of performers and freaks and to make a quick buck for whiskey and wine! The three act show opens with a group number introducing the cast members to whet appetites of those in the audiences. A few intermissions are granted for leg stretching, outdoor smoking and trips to the very well stocked liquor and beer bar. The evenings close out with another group closing number and a cast after party where members of the show come out to mingle and dance with their audience.
