Trash City: Robert Fata Comedy Man !!
Trash City Film & EntertainmentOne Funny Guy
ROBERT FATA
STAND UP COMEDIAN
Robert Fata, an ASU student and stand-up comedian has been funny since 1984, when he found his way out of his mother onto an un-knowing world. Utilizing very creative use of his observational skills, Robert literally milks every drop of resources and incorporates it into his craft.
Two years after performing at his high school's talent show, Robert Fata took his first stand up comedy classes at Scottsdale Community College, where he would later get his associates degree in science. At the comedy class graduation performance, he was asked to do an interview at a local television show Rappin with Randy. Robert continued to take classes at The Comedy Spot in Scottsdale, until he was booked as an opener.
In early 2005, Robert, with the help of Trash City Entertainment, hosted the first season of Comedy Slamfest; a contest in which 10 comics a week would compete for a chance to win $1,000. Slamfest continued for 4 seasons, with Robert as a regular host. Near the end of Slamfest, Robert took other comedy classes with Tony Vicich from comedyschools.com.
Robert was a frequent guest on the morning radio show Driving with Gass on All Comedy Radio. He was also a finalist at the Improv Harkins Last Laugh Comedy Competition, which led to several appearances on The BS Factor, with Brian and Stephanie, as well as co-hosting Latina Loca's Comedy Drive-by also on All Comedy Radio.
He's performed at such places as Laff's in Tucson, the Tempe Improv, and several benefits, including Toys for Tots. His comedy can best be described as intelligently sardonic. Robert's other TV and radio appearances include The Comedy Thrift Shop on local COX 98; a station which later asked him to fill in as the host of their health show, Fahrenheit 98.6. Robert is a regular guest on KWSS, and was asked to fill in for The Fabulous Amy Donahue on her show, where his performance became one of the most replayed shows in the history of the station, and had its own section on the website. Most recently, Robert was 2nd Place in the Turbo Tax Tax Laugh Contest and won $5000 and the respect of his peers. Robert's a brilliant Roaster and has participated in many Comedy Roasts. Today, Robert spends his weekends at his home club, The Comedy Spot in Scottsdale. He can still be heard on KWSS 106.7FM (Phoenix) where he is a favorite on B Chillin with Gass, Monday nights from 8-10pm.
