So what do we actually have here? Japanese guys in weird outfits doing the most hilarious shenanigans on and off stage throughout Peelander-Z’s live performance. There are funny masks, a giant plastic mallet, big signs and even the point where the band cedes their instruments to random audience members while they circulate through the venue wreaking havoc, including human bowling. Fans who arrive at the show in "homage to Peelander-Z" costumes will get a discounted admission of $5.00
This show is part of a 60 city tour promoting their newest release: P-Pop High School and there is a sense of Karma as the band returns to the Trunk Space after 4 years.
Peelander-Z is more than just punk rock for anime nerds. Anyone with a lust for creative ridiculousness and hilarious absurdity will enjoy Peelander-Z, who have brought an interesting Japanese/American/superhero hybrid to eager audiences and found a niche by putting a totally unique spin on punk rock.
The show is appropriate for families and children. What does Peelander-Z do? They incite a group performance of happiness. The ring-leader is Peelander Yellow, who is not by any standard definition handsome or particularly young. He looks like the comic-relief monk from any number of samurai movies — complete with missing tooth and mostly bald head. They start playing and then … it's difficult to describe. They surf the crowd, they give out drum sticks and metal things to bang on, they have much of the crowd join them onstage and play — the people who play do NOT know how to play. Peelander Yellow rides a Big Wheel and acts like a bowling ball vs. a set of plastic bowling pins. You need to see it to believe it.

"PEELANDER-Z, the Japanese Action Comic Punk Band, was originally formed by Peelander-Yellow, Peelander-Red and Peelander-Blue (claim they are from Z area in the Planet Peelander!!) in 1998, and came into action based in NYC.
However, Peelander-Blue had to leave the Earth after 10 years of mission, in order to be new king of Planet Peelander. Then Peelander-Z welcomed Peelander-Green in July 2008, and became newly reborn and powerful Peelander-Z more than ever!!"
