The Second Annual
Phoenix Fear Film Festival
Showcasing the best horror cinema from around the world
We're back! After the great success of our first event, an appropriate period to recover, and a few setbacks (our scheduled 2007 venue closed), we're delighted to announce the second incarnation! Bigger! Gorier! Saturday-er! This time in a proper cinema - so no more spending three hours taping garbage bags to the windows of an art gallery for us! :-) And we've also moved the event to the weekend proper, by popular demand.
Where: Chandler Cinemas,
2140 N. Arizona Ave, Chandler
When: Saturday, August 30th: Noon-2am for an all-day marathon of gore, violence, splatter and mayhem. We're busy harvesting corps...er, entries - but let's just say that PG-13 horror and crap remakes, as produced by Hollywood, need not apply... Contact us, if you'd like to submit your horror film (short or feature) for consideration!

Trash City Entertainment's involvement with Brain Damage Films began almost by accident, when they asked to film a commercial at The Sets during one of our events there. We were delighted to help them, and have since enjoyed working with them on a number of projects. Chris is now the Vice-President of Media and Marketing for Brain Damage Films, and their sister company, Maxim Media International, and has helped them obtain much local coverage, including a front-page story in the Business section of the Arizona Republic and a feature story on Fox News.
The two form a world-wide film production and distribution operation, based out of Tempe, Arizona. They are particularly famous in the horror world, but are involved with a wide range of genres, and have, for many years, had a presence at the Cannes Film Festival and Market. They are also regular attendees at film conventions around the US: we accompanied them to the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Burbank, California earlier in 2006, and had a blast!

Syn DeVil: actress, model, scream queen, all-round glamor vixen. We're delighted to be representing the star of such horror movies as Witch's Sabbath, Blood Legend and the upcoming Curse of Pirate Death, with a filmography that now includes over 20 movies. From our experiences in Burbank, we know there is a growing fan-base of enthusiastic admirers for her talents. She is definitely a name on the rise: contact us if you would like to use her undeniable talents in your next feature-film!

Ballistic founder, Zachary Yoshioka, and his crew of young adult volunteers have been striving to bring their dreams to life for the past ten years through micro-budget film making. Known valley-wide for their guerilla-style of indie film making, Ballistic and Yoshioka also produce music videos and band DVDs for national acts such as the Kottonmouth Kings, the Transplants, Authority Zero, and Story of the Year.
Trash City first met Ballistic at one of their premieres, and were immediately impressed by Zach's drive and commitment. Since then, we've helped them out with locations, DVD authoring, publicity - and the all important on-set catering! Rumor has it, both Chris and Jim actually appeared in Synthetic Truth, but we shall say no more on that topic... :-)
Trash City Entertainment recently brokered a deal with Maxim Media International/Brain Damage Films, a film production and distribution company located in Tempe Arizona. This covers worldwide distribution of five Ballistic films, including the newest release, Three Can Keep a Secret, which premiered earlier in 2006 at the Tempe Cinemas. Disk Jockey can be found as part of the Pendulum Pictures box-set, Savage Sickos, available at all good retailers, while Three Can Keep a Secret has been sold to - of all places! - Russia.
